Building on the Drawing as Meditation classes offered at the BFAC over the past months, artist and meditation practitioner Adam LoRusso and BFAC host Alex Mafusalov will lead a three-hour workshop, in which life drawing will be used as a tool to deepen our awareness and enjoyment of the present moment.
Along with calming music, pleasant warm lighting, and gentle encouragement, the hosts will lead students through guided meditations to help them see and draw more easily and with more confidence. Compassion, non-judgment, and an emphasis on the process rather than the product will create the ideal environment to start learning to draw, or to enhance enjoyment of a long-standing drawing practice.
Beginner to advanced artists are welcome; no experience is necessary. Limited to 12 students.
Please bring any materials you like to draw with. Easels, drawing horses, drawing boards, and simple refreshments will be provided.
Fee: $60
